Who Is Tom Lynch?

Tom Lynch is the founder and lead investigator of ParaTom.com. He is a freelance paranormal investigator working out of New England.

Tom Lynch is an internationally known and well respected freelance Paranormal Investigator based in New England and travels across the country to help his clients uncover the truth about what they believe to be paranormal activity. Tom also conducts lectures and workshops throughout the year.

When Tom was young, his grandparents would take him to Concord and Lexington, Massachusetts in the spring time to visit the Olde North Bridge, Grave of the Unknown British Soldiers, and The Olde Burying Grounds. Tom was fascinated by the artwork carved upon the old slate gravestones.

“I remember during one of my many visits there, finding a grave stone belonging to a boy of about 8 years old. He had died in the 1700's and I can remember lagging behind my family, bending and whispering to the patch of land beneath my feet. ”Are you here? If you are not happy here, you can come home with me.” That evening, I slept with my eyes wide open, afraid the boy was going to appear! I would call that my first attempt to communicate with the other side!”

Tom has been visiting and photographing colonial graveyards most of his life. This qualifies him as a lifelong taphophile. A person who loves cemeteries.

Tom prides himself on the tools he brings to the investigation and is very knowledgable with every piece in his kit. Tom started with a film camera and added a mini cassette recorder to his kit. This was back in 1986. His tool kit has been growing and changing ever since.

Tom has had the pleasure of investigating along side of some of todays foremost respected and talented people in the paranormal field, such as Medium Julie Williams, John Zaffis (A Haunting in Conneticut), Dustin Pari and Barry Fitzgerald of Ghost Hunters International, and other great talents.

Julie Williams - Manager / Investigator

Julie is the team medium, investigator, and spiriualist. She has always had a keen interest in the paranormal. She attended several fund raising paranormal events locally. It wasn't until she met Tom after asking if she could tag along on a "real" investigation. Julie was interested in Tom's methods as they were so uniform and unlike the "showy" investigations she had been on in the past. Julie joined the ParaTom Unit and has been working as Tom's manager ever since. She has been to Fort Mifflin, Eastern State Penitentiary, Hawthorne Hotel, and several private investigations as well.

“My experiences with the paranormal go back as far as I can remember. I have always believed in ghosts, spirits, and guardian angels. Lucky for me I grew up with a very supportive mom who had spent her own lifetime being sensitive. She helped me to learn and understand the spirit world. My most vivid experiences are from my teenage years. That is when I first realized that I was sensitive and intuitive.”

My name is Phil Lynch. I am the nephew of Tom Lynch, AKA 'ParaTom'.

When my family and I moved into the home that we currently reside at, I was no more than four or five years old. I was in my room playing with my toys when I decided to go to my closet to get some legos. As I opened the closet I saw an old woman with white hair looking down at me with an emotionless face. It terrified me to the point where I ran out to my father who was doing yard work. As I looked back at the door to the house I could see her looking at me.

One time in the middle of the night, I saw her laying down next to me in my bed, with her face right up against mine. These situations would terrify me to the point where I didn't feel safe in my room, let alone my home.

As I began to get older, I experienced a few more episodes with paranormal activity. I began to wonder if there was anyone out there who experienced these phenomenon's as well, or if I was alone. I also wondered if there was anyone out there who could help.

As I continued to mature, the activity had decreased, but every now and then certain things would happen. I would hear footsteps or voices in the house when I was home alone or objects would fall off the shelves or the table. I would also see things from the corner of my eye.

These events inspired me to want help others who experience similar events with situations that they believe are paranormal activity.

As a part of the 'ParaTom' support team, my role is to set up the equipment, partake in EVP sessions, take note of what the psychics are feeling and also walking around taking pictures and videotaping the locations that are said to be haunted. I feel very lucky to be associated with my uncle's investigative unit!
